The Parish of Shoscombe
Shoscombe parish lies close to the south eastern boundary of Peasedown St John marked out by the bypass that encircles its southern edge.
Shoscombe Parish is made up of 8 small hamlets set in this peaceful, rural part of Somerset,
and yet only 7 miles from the World Heritage city of Bath.
The hamlets are Shoscombe village, Shoscombe Vale, Paglinch, Shoscombe Halt, Single Hill,
Stony Littleton, White Hill and Double Hill
The population is less than 500
The community values this rural landscape in which we live, and it is our determination to protect it for what it offers, by way of its diverse, and sometimes quite rare examples of wildlife, for us, and for the visitors who come here.
