Background
Shoscombe Ramblers was formed in 2015 by a group of local residents who wanted to share with others some of their favourite walks in the immediate area. We are so fortunate in this Parish to have a network of footpaths and a variety of locations to explore including woodland, river and meadow walks, and hills with far reaching vistas. It was decided to meet for a walk on the third Sunday of the month starting at 10 am at Shoscombe Village Hall. Members of the group have taken it in turn to devise circular walks estimated to last 2-3 hours. In the summer we had a longer walk to the Lavender Farm in Faulkland. In January 2016, 23 residents enjoyed the WW2 walk around the Parish which was devised by Rina Richards and incorporated many of the features researched by the Shoscombe History Group in 2015.
We have now almost exhausted the walks in this area and have decided to drive a short distance to the beginning of each walk.
Our walk around Kilmersdon on November 19th which included a visit to the lovely Babington Church.
Many thanks for organising the walk Sue

We had a very pleasant 2 hour ramble beginning in Wellow walking up to Twinhoe and passing small sections of the Somerset Coal Canal along the route. The walk finished with refreshments at the Fox and Badger. Thanks to Rina and John Richards for organising the walk.
